Emily Duda Buckley was born and raised in Central Florida, part of a family that has farmed Florida land for five generations. She is an adoptive mother, a licensed foster parent, and a longtime advocate for Florida's most vulnerable through her work as a Guardian Ad Litem and her leadership with the Florida Association of Foster and Adoptive Parents and the 4Roots Foundation.
Emily is running for the Florida House because families across District 38 are squeezed by the rising cost of living, and they deserve a representative who believes government should live within its means like the rest of us. Her guiding conviction is simple: serve as the district's representative, not its decision maker.
Fighting to strengthen Florida families across District 38.
Rising costs are squeezing Central Florida families. Emily will fight to lower the cost of living and keep more money in the pockets of the people who earned it.
Floridians are being taxed out of their own homes. Emily will work to cut property taxes so families and seniors can afford to stay in the communities they built.
Home insurance costs have spiraled out of control. Emily will take on the insurance crisis to make coverage affordable and available for Florida families again.
Emily will protect Central Florida's land and water by standing up to the big developers and data centers that threaten our natural resources and our quality of life.
